Established with the vision of promoting a strong sense of community and collaboration among alumni, current students, faculty, and management, the SaIT Alumni Association serves as a dynamic forum for engagement, enrichment, and support.
About us
The years go by and the number of bright young faces at our campus increases, a bond develops which lasts beyond the four academic years of engineering. Alumni are a huge talent pool whose guidance is beneficial to our students and other fellow-alumni in their respective areas of study. Anecdotes of fellow students, escapades, distinctive acts of professors, and tales of a sporting glory, among others have dominated many a conversation years after the result sheets have faded.
The Alumni association of SaIT brings together alumni from across functions and years for betterment of students and the institute.
Importance of Alumni
Alumni are the brand-ambassadors of the institution they graduated from, and the Alumni association of SaIT plays a vital role in the following aspects.
Fund-raising– The strong alumni association contributes towards various developmental activities of the institution.
Mentorship and Scholarships – They play an active role in voluntary programs like mentoring students in their areas of expertise. They could also play a significant role in contributing scholarships in future to deserving students.
Career Guidance– alumni is a huge talent pool whose guidance is beneficial to many students and other fellow-alumni in their respective areas of study.
Alumni Meet 2022: A Day to Remember
The Alumni Meet 2022 was held on 10th October 2022 at The Sambhram Roost, bringing together over 500 alumni and guests who were thrilled to return to their beloved alma mater.
The event was graced by Mr. Nagesh K. P., Vice President and Head of Data & Digital Series at SLK Software, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Benjin Samuel, Early Career Talent Attraction Lead at SAP Labs, as the Guest of Honour. Joining them were esteemed dignitaries: Dr. Nagaraj V., Chairman of SGI; Mr. Nagaraj B. N., CEO of SGI; Mrs. Dhanya Nagaraj, Director of SGI; and SaIT Principal, Dr. H. G. Chandrakanth.
The day began with presentations showcasing the association’s achievements and laying out its future plans and roadmaps. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony and the election of the new committee.
The reunion buzzed with energy as alumni reconnected, shared stories, and relived cherished memories of their time on campus. The nostalgia was palpable as attendees spoke about their experiences, revisited old friendships, and celebrated their shared bond.
Adding to the excitement, the entertainment lineup delighted everyone, with alumni enthusiastically participating and cheering throughout. What started as a simple gathering blossomed into a vibrant, fun-filled, and unforgettable event, leaving everyone eagerly awaiting the next reunion!
Alumni Meet 2019: A Celebration Beyond Borders
The Alumni Meet 2019 was held on 16th March 2019 at The Sambhram Roost and turned out to be a grand success. The event was graced by Dr. Binoy Mathew, Director of VTU, CPC, alongside Shri. Nagaraj V., Chairman of SGI, and Dr. H. G. Chandrakanth, Principal of SaIT.
This reunion was truly special as alumni from around the globe—Singapore, Dubai, Canada, and Australia—joined the celebration via Skype video conference. Their participation added a unique touch, enabling them to reconnect with batchmates and faculty despite the distance.
The meet was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and the joy of reliving cherished memories, proving once again that the SaIT alumni network knows no boundaries.
First Alumni Meet 2018: A Grand Inaugural Reunion
The first-ever Alumni Meet of SaIT was held on 24th March 2018 at The Sambhram Roost, marking the beginning of a cherished tradition. The event saw an overwhelming turnout, with over 600 alumni and guests joining the celebration, making it a truly memorable occasion.
The event commenced with an invocation song by a final-year CSE student, setting a reverent and celebratory tone. The gathering was graced by esteemed guests, including Shri. Nagaraj V., Vice Chairman of SGI; Mr. Nagaraj B. N., CEO of SGI; and Dr. H. G. Chandrakanth, Principal of SaIT.
